As our club name suggests we represent Lleyn Sheep breeders in Scotland & the North of England, a vast area where sheep probably out number people!
We meet up 2 or 3 times a year, usually at Canonbie for a discussions on relevant sheep & society issues, everything is lighthearted.
We also plan a Club Open Day at a breeders farm, this gives farmers that may be interested in buying Lleyn sheep a chance to view them in there natural surrounding as well as letting fellow Lleyn breeders look round a flock and compare sheep.
Our other major event is the Carlisle & Stirling sales. At the sales we hold a pre sale Show, which have proved to be very popular and well supported.
The Carlisle Sale now offers the largest number of Lleyn sheep for sale in the UK and in many breeders eyes the Premier Sale for the breed.

Cyfieithiad CymraegWelsh Welcome
Lleyn sheep originate from the Lleyn peninsula in Wales and until recently were a relatively unfamiliar breed of sheep in the UK.
Over the past 10 years the Lleyn breed has caught the eye of many farmers, and now Lleyn sheep can be found almost all over Britain & Ireland. Farmers soon find that the Lleyn is an ideal ewe, quiet in nature, prolific, has great maternal instincts, milky & will not eat you out of house and home. The Lleyn fits in to many situations and its versatility suits both lowland and upland grazing.
